Chandler is a New York-based writer and director, born and raised in San Francisco.
Her most recent short film MORTY was executive produced by Jordan Peele and had its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of Peele’s inaugural NO DRAMA Program. Crump was selected for the program, powered by Monkeypaw Productions, Universal Studios, and TIFF, out of 3,666 applicants, making herself the youngest filmmaker chosen. As of August 2026, the film is set to have its US Premiere at Flicker’s Rhode Island International Film Festival, followed by Martha’s Vineyard African-American Film Festival and Hollyshorts Film Festival.
As a director and writer, her film and television interests lie in the genre space, specifically in horror, suspense, and elevated world-building. As a poet, she aims to capture the ethos of womanhood in the Twenty-First century.
Crump is currently finishing a Master of Studies in Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge and recieved her undergraduate degree in film/TV at new york university.
